About Aquarist Geek
Welcome to Aquarist Geek — your trusted resource for honest, in-depth aquarium product reviews and fishkeeping advice. We started this website with one simple mission: to help fellow hobbyists make smarter, safer, and more informed decisions about the equipment and supplies they bring into their homes.
Our Story
Aquarist Geek was founded out of a genuine passion for the aquarium hobby. After years of trial and error — buying filters that failed within months, heaters that overheated tanks, and lighting systems that didn’t support healthy plant growth — our founder realized how much misinformation and marketing fluff exists in the fishkeeping product space. That frustration became the spark for this website: a place where real experience, not sponsored hype, guides every recommendation.
